Tumbil’s WashPros only stock detergent—because we like to keep things simple and fresh.
But if you prefer your own spin on laundry day, feel free to send along your favourite extras, like fabric softener, dryer sheets, or even bleach.
Just give us the lowdown on how you want it used in Laundry Care >> Additional Instructions, and we’ll follow your instructions to the letter. Whatever we don’t use will be returned to you, no extra charge. After all, your laundry, your rules!
Hang Dry
Wash Pros dry on low-medium heat, never high heat.
What detergent options are there?
When ordering, you can choose from:
- Premium-scented
- Hypoallergenic (unscented/sensitive skin)
- Provide your own
- If you choose to provide your own, include it with your pickup, and your Wash Pro will use it and return any unused portion.
Pricing & Payment
Unsanitary Laundry Fee
A $20 fee may be applied if your laundry is deemed hazardous or unsafe for our Wash Pros to handle.
In such circumstances, the WashPro will message you about the hazardous or unsafe items, and place them in a separate bag labelled "hazardous or unsafe" on return.
Missed Pickup Fee
Platform Fee
Our $3 platform fee helps us maintain a safe, secure, and reliable service for all users.
Weighed Wet or Dry?
Laundry is weighed after drying.
Preauthorization
A pre-authorization hold on your card confirms available funds. The hold is released once your card is charged for the service.
Minimum Fee
Minimum order charge depends on your area and service type, visible before placing an order.
How to Verify Weight
To verify the weight of your laundry, simply weigh the bags after they’re delivered.
You can easily do this at home with a standard bathroom scale. First, weigh yourself, then weigh yourself again while holding each bag. Subtract your initial weight from the combined weight to find the weight of each bag of laundry.
Forms of Payment
We accept credit and debit cards. Cash and PayPal are not accepted.
Cost per Pound
Standard (next-day) service is $1.25/LB, and Express (same-day or overnight) service is $2.25/LB, varying by area. Pickup and delivery are free. An average hamper of clothes weighs about 10 pounds.

What Happens If I Forget to Put Out My Bags at the Agreed Time
We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. If you forget to put out your bags for pickup, please follow the steps below:
- Notify Your WashPro via the Tumbil App: As soon as possible, let your WashPro know and provide a time when you or someone in your household will be available to put the bags out. You can work directly with the WashPro to rearrange the pickup. Please note, if the revised time is later than the allotted pickup time, the WashPro will be entitled to a 24 extension on returning your bags.
- If You Don't Hear Back: If you don’t receive a response from the WashPro within 10 minutes, please email us at support@tumbil.com, and we will contact the WashPro directly.
- If the WashPro Arrives but No One Is Home: Your WashPro will attempt to reach you by knocking, ringing the doorbell, or asking the concierge (apartment or hotel) to help locate the bags.
- If They Still Can’t Reach You: If your WashPro cannot make contact, our support team will try calling you.
Missing Bags Fee: If the WashPro arrives and no bags are available, a $10 Missing Bags Fee will apply. You won’t be charged for the rest of your order.

Can't Leave Laundry Out
Schedule a Pickup
Tumbil is all about instant convenience. We operate on-demand, so you don’t have to plan ahead. Just request a pickup whenever you’re ready, and we’ll take care of the rest—no future scheduling.
Hotel Guests
Staying at a hotel? No problem, in the app designate the "Front Desk" as the pickup/drop-off location. Label each bag with your name and "Tumbil Pickup."
Do I Need Laundry Bags?
No! There is need to worry about laundry bags!
You can use whatever you have on hand—disposable bags, your hamper, or any container that works for you. Most customers prefer using disposable bags. If you choose to use a hamper, or a different container, we’ll simply transfer your clothes to our bags and leave your hamper with you.
If you prefer using laundry bags, feel free to include them, and we’ll make sure to return them to you, clean and fresh.
Pickup and Delivery Times
Here are our pickup and delivery guidelines to help you understand when to expect your laundry pickup and delivery based on when the order is placed:
Standard Orders
- Orders placed before 3pm: Pickup will be scheduled for the same day by 8pm, with delivery the next day by 8pm.
- Orders placed after 3pm: Pickup will be scheduled for 8pm the next day, with delivery by 8pm the following day.
Example:
- An order placed at 5pm on Monday will be picked up by 8pm Tuesday and delivered by 8pm Wednesday.
Rapid Orders
- Orders placed by 10am: Pickup will be by 2pm the same day, with delivery by 8pm the same day.
- Orders placed between 10am and 3pm: Pickup will be by 8pm the same day, with delivery by 10am the next morning.
- Orders placed after 3pm: Pickup will be by 2pm the following day, with delivery by 8pm that day.
Example:
- An order placed at 9am on Monday: Pickup by 2pm Monday, delivery by 8pm Monday.
- An order placed at 11am on Monday: Pickup by 8pm Monday, delivery by 10am Tuesday.
- An order placed at 5pm on Monday: Pickup by 2pm Tuesday, delivery by 8pm Tuesday.
Delivery Window
Pickups and deliveries are made between 8am and 8pm.

Limitations
Weight Limitations
No maximum for Standard service, but over 100 pounds may need extra time. Express service has a 60-pound limit.
Unsafe or Unsanitary Laundry
Your laundry must be:Safe:
- Free from bed bugs, fleas, roaches, and biohazardous materials. We're a laundry service, not an extermination squad.
- Sanitary: No feces, urine, blood, or vomit. We're here to clean clothes, not play CSI.
- Pet-Friendly (within reason): Minimal pet hair. We love your pets, but we don't want to wear them.
